  January 2009 Dear Member and Friend of the Ministry, Let us walk in newness of life. (Romans 6/4) in 2009! While the world is troubled by the .Meltdown,. we trust in .the Lord strong mighty (Psalm 24/8). I remember our poverty growing up in Athens and how faithfulness led us to a better and brighter future. Ministries will see reduced layoffs this year because of the poor economy, but we should remember two things: First, that God will be your provider if you know and trust in Him, and Second, that David said, I was young, and now I am old, yet I have never the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread. (Psalm 37/25). At a time of great opportunity, major cutbacks will be necessary. Our have to cut back in critical areas, at a time when we want to expand our efforts. however, we will walk by faith and not by sight, and seek the imp-ossible as nity. Will you pray for the leadership of the Greek Assembly and Greeks For We all need wisdom and courage to go forward as we continue to serve. Also, will you ask God what you should do and how you can help? You may able to help, and your support will be more critical this year. And, if no gifts, perhaps you can help in other ways with your time and talents. But, prayers for our pastors, Church and worldwide ministries will ope-n many doo tunity for the work of the Lord.
