Dreams and Visions
By Gus Tsioukas

"And it shall come to pass in the last days that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams.  And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy."  (Acts 2:17-18, NKJV)

These words, spoken by the Old Testament prophet Joel and referred to by the apostle Peter four hundred years later, explained to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and the wonders that were occurring on the day of Pentecost.  Nearly two thousand years later, these words even more accurately describe our time.  Consider the personal experience of just one of God's servants.

Gus Tsioukas and his wife, Sera, minister to Greeks in Tarpon Springs Florida and Easton, Pennsylvania.  As early as 1986, Gus began having dreams and visions.  Following is an excerpt from one such dream, which speaks of the Lord's imminent return and His desire for all men to repent and call on His name, that they might receive His eternal salvation.

"In August of 1989, I had the following dream:  We were having a prayer meeting in my Pennsylvania home.  I was walking through the kitchen to go to the family room, where the prayer meeting was taking place.  At that particular time, I felt the presence of the Lord on my right side with much power in it.  I felt much happiness and joy, and this power was coming into my being and I felt like it was overflowing in me.

"My body then took off very fast--like the speed of light--and I realized I was very, very far away in the heavens.  I had no control over my body and it just stopped in midair.  There was blue sky above and below me.

"Then, out of nowhere a beautiful city appeared.  I noticed no one was living there.  Outside the city, all around it were high walls and inside were tall buildings with beautiful architecture and designs.

"A voice then spoke behind me saying, 'This is the City.  After the Rapture takes place, my people are going to live here.'  I continued looking at it for a few minutes, and then my body went back down to the prayer meeting, right exactly to the same spot.  At this meeting I noticed the speaker was a Greek priest with a calimafke (hat) on his head.  I heard the Lord's voice again, and He was saying to me, 'Very, Very, Very Soon, I'm going to send a lot of floods to this earth.  I want to get the attention of the people to start to glorify My name.  After these floods stop, Very, Very, Very Soon I'm coming to get my people.'

"One month later, on September 16, 1989, Hurricane Hugo struck the Southeastern United States and the West Indies, causing 60 fatalities and $7 billion in damages--$5 billion in the state of South Carolina alons.  Since that time, there has been nonstop flooding in the Unites States and worldwide."

Jesus Christ promises to return soon.  And yet He is merciful in giving all people a chance to repent, and love and serve Him "with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength"  (Mark 12:30).  He is calling you.  Will you answer Him?

Dear friend, you can--pray now to Him:  "Jesus, I want to answer your call.  Forgive my sins.  Come into my heart and be Lord of my life.  Amen."  If you prayed this prayer, call us at (510) 536-1033, or write to:  Dr. Peter Vourliotis, Chrisma Magazine, P.O.
