Christian bashing is a favorite sport among the non-Christians in every facet of our society. Although, it has not reached the point of feeding the Christians to the lions as in ancient days, Christians, nevertheless, are the butt of ugly jokes, defenders in law suites and subjected to blame in everything gone wrong.

But, in all fairness, don’t blame the Christians for the long lines at the airport, as you take off your shoes and open up your luggage. It is not the Christians who are responsible for the high price of gas. If our society is becoming more dysfunctional, unethical and morally bankrupt, again, don’t blame the Christians. If our public school system is failing our children, please, don’t blame the Christians. They are not the ones who have taken God and the Ten Commandments out of our schools and outlawed prayer.

If marriage is failing our society and is being reinterpreted, don’t blame the Christians for this breakdown. To the Christians, marriage is sacred.

What is happening in Iraq: the suicide bombings, the blood shedding of innocent citizens and the civil war are not to be blamed on the Christians. Christians seek justice and peace, and not blood and revenge.

Finally, if you fear a terrorist attack, don’t expect the Christians to be responsible.

Perhaps, what our society really needs, is to again return to the Christian principles and values that had so well guided our nation for generations.
